On Thursday 27th April, Plateau State Senior Mens Basketball team Plateau PEAKS, were scheduled to take on Kano Pillars for game 3 of the 2017 Nigeria Basketball Federation organized Premier league to be played in Kano. Peaks suffered a walk over due to late arrivals as the team is still battling with funding according to sources.

“We couldn’t get money on time, left Jos on the day of the match
I called the match commissioner telling him to give us time as we were on the way, I also spoke to coach Sani Ahmed.
We got into Kano by 4.18pm, but they called to tell me that they just walked us over.
I wouldn’t have done that to any team, I thought we are a family, I know what we went through to make sure we got to Kano
