A powerful gathering aimed at igniting women’s leadership and participation in governance is set for Plateau State as “Queenlitics: A Queen for the Republic” takes centre stage on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the Yelwa Club Hall, Bukuru.

The event, themed “She Leads, History Listens,” is expected to draw women of influence, aspiring leaders, female government appointees and all female aspirants eyeing positions in the forthcoming elections.

Dr. Mrs. Martina Nentawe Yilwatda, wife of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, will deliver the keynote address, while Plateau State Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Josephine Chundung Piyo, serves as Special Guest of Honour.

Organisers described the programme as more than a mere event but a transformative platform designed to awaken bold ambition, foster unity among women, and inspire a new generation ready to shape the future of the state and the nation.

“From aspiring leaders to established voices, every presence will add to a shared story of courage, inclusion, and transformation,” a statement said.

“The atmosphere will not just be heard; it will be felt — deep, personal, and unforgettable.”

Participants are expected to leave the hall with strengthened conviction, validated dreams, and a renewed fire to pursue leadership roles in politics and public service.

The gathering comes at a critical time as political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections begin to gather momentum across Plateau State, with women increasingly positioning themselves for greater representation.

Queenlitics promises to be a defining moment where clarity meets purpose, marking the beginning of a new chapter for women’s leadership in the region.
