Nigerian actress Shaffy Bello has been nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2025 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).
The veteran actress earned the nomination for her performance in The Masked King, where she plays a pivotal role that has garnered widespread acclaim.
Taking to Instagram to celebrate the recognition, Shaffy described the nomination as “the evidence of God’s grace.”
“The Evidence of God’s Grace. Thank you @amaawards_ for the recognition. I do not take it for granted. I am deeply grateful. Congratulations to ALL the nominees. We’ve already WON 🏆 See you on the 9th,” she wrote.
The 21st AMAA ceremony is scheduled to take place in Lagos on November 9, where Shaffy will compete alongside other top actresses from across Africa.
