Senegal’s national football team, the Lions of Teranga, and their coaching staff received a hero’s welcome upon returning home after winning the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title.
A video posted on X by Dammiedammie35 showed the victorious squad arriving at the airport at night, proudly wearing their gold medals and national colours. Photographers, officials, and supporters gathered to greet them as they stepped out.
The players later presented the AFCON trophy to Senegalese President Bassirou Faye, celebrating the nation’s second continental title.
The return of the champions was a moment of national pride and unity, as the country celebrated one of its greatest football achievements.
Recall that Senegal won their second AFCON title after defeating hosts Morocco 1–0 in extra time at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
