The
Senate has expressed its resolve to intervene in the face-off between
the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

The lawmakers specifically asked the President of the Senate, Bukola
Saraki, to intervene in the matter and prevent ASUU from embarking on a
one-week warning strike which begins on Wednesday.
The lawmakers, during the plenary on Tuesday, urged the two parties to dialogue.
