Senate Adjourns Plenary Until March 31 for Sallah Break

The Nigerian Senate has adjourned its plenary sessions until March 31, 2026, to observe the Eid al-Fitr (Sallah) break.

The decision was announced during Thursday’s plenary, presided over by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

Lawmakers also agreed that the 2026 national budget would be passed when the Senate reconvenes after the break on March 31.
