Ruth Kadiri Debunks Death Rumours, Says She Is Alive and Safe

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has debunked reports claiming that she died in an accident, assuring fans and the public that she is alive and safe.

The false reports began circulating across social media on Sunday, September 6, 2026, causing concern among the actress’s fans and followers.

Kadiri subsequently addressed the reports in a video shared online, where she directly dismissed the claims and confirmed that she had not been involved in any accident.

“Please note that I am alive. I did not have any accident, and I am safe,” the actress said.

She also expressed frustration over the spread of the false reports, revealing that several fake social media accounts had allegedly been created to circulate claims about her death.

According to Kadiri, between seven and eight accounts were reportedly created to publish content claiming that she had died, despite her having no knowledge of any incident that could have prompted such reports.

The actress urged her followers not to engage with the accounts spreading the misinformation but to report them instead. She said reporting such pages would help prevent the false claims from gaining further traction online.

Kadiri further lamented what she described as repeated attempts by some people to wish death on her through social media, saying the situation had become exhausting and upsetting.

The incident has once again highlighted the speed with which false reports concerning celebrities can spread on social media, often causing unnecessary panic among their families, colleagues and fans.

Kadiri remains active in Nollywood as an actress, filmmaker and content creator, and has continued promoting her film projects online.
