Rivers Sole Administrator, Ibas Appoints New RSIEC Chairman and Reconstitutes RSIEC

The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Ibok-Ete Ibas, has appointed Michael Odey as the new Chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC). This announcement was made in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibibia Lucky Worika.

Additionally, Ibas has approved the reconstitution of the RSIEC, which comes amid ongoing political tensions in the state. The newly appointed members of the RSIEC are as follows:
