Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.), the Rivers State Sole Administrator, has appointed administrators for the 23 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state, despite a Federal High Court order that restrained him from making such appointments.
The court order, issued by Justice Adam Muhammed on Tuesday in suit no. FHC/PH/CS/46/2025, was in response to a case filed by the PILEX Centre for Civic Education Initiative, led by Courage Msirimovu, against the Sole Administrator.
The appointment of the new local government administrators was confirmed in a Special Government Announcement issued on Wednesday morning by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibibia Worika. Below is the full list of the newly appointed Local Government Administrators for Rivers State:
