As Nigeria decides the next president, a video of residents jubilating as military personnel arrived at the Oba Elegushi area of Lagos state to stop the intimidation of voters has surfaced online.
Videos shared online have shown thugs visiting different polling units to tell voters they are not allowed to vote except for the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
Oba Elegushi is one such area where the threat was made.
After videos of the threat in Elegushi went viral, the military arrived in several cars.
On sighting the military personnel, residents rejoiced and began chanting, “We must vote. we must vote.”
