The member of the House of Representatives for Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency of Benue State, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Dorothy Mato nominated some youths from her constituency as part of her Youth Empowerment Scheme to participate in Total Entrepreneurship Skill Acquisition for Youth (ESAY) Programme (Middle Belt).
Rep Mato said as part of her core mandate, youth empowerment stands top at the priority list. Any society which neglects its youth is only preparing a recipe for disaster.
“Beyond white collar jobs, we must encourage the youth to be self-reliant and sufficient which is why I was delighted when the opportunity to nominate youth for my constituency for the programme came up.
“I thank the management of Toncia Consulting who in partnership with Total Nigeria has empowered these youth with the requisite skills and knowledge to be self-reliant and also become employers of labour in their own light.
“We are also delighted to note that the Abuja Enterprise Agency is willing to offer them access to loan as start-ups to enable them grow as business owners”. She said.
