Rep. Bagos Condemns Renewed Attacks, killing of 6 of his Constituents in Plateau

The member representing Jos South/Jos East in the House of Representatives Abuja Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos is disheartened about renewed attacks on communities in Plateau State by suspected herdsmen.

Bagos described as sad With the last night attack which is Tuesday, 25th April 2023 at 8:00 pm where six people were killed at a mining spot in Farinlamba Turu, Jos South Local Government of Plateau State

The Lawmaker who is also the Deputy Chairman House Committee on Anti-corruption is disturbed about the attacks and expressed sadness that attackers were said to be heading to Farinlamba where the population of people is high, saying is very unfortunate for the miners who became victims before reaching their Target

He wonders how criminals beat security agents, perpetrate these heinous acts and vanish into thin air without resistance.

The Federal Lawmaker said the names of those killed include; 1. Ishaya David 25 years from, Tana, 2. Paul Adamu from Dangyuruk 23 years , 3. Bitrus Mancha 43 years from Dantou, 4. Davou Boyi 40 years from Dawurum, 5. Joseph John 39 years from Dawurum, and 6. Timothy Peter 35 years from Dawurum. All in Turu and Riyom

The member finds such absurdity ridiculous especially when these attacks are carried out against innocent citizens of the States.

The member is also calling on the Federal security agencies as a matter of urgency come to the aid of these hapless citizens and provide them with security.

The member, therefore, calls on all relevant authorities to wake up and protect the lives and properties of Nigerians as it’s the minimum requirement from the government.

The member, therefore, calls on citizens in those areas to be law-abiding and restrain from taking laws into their hands but be vigilant at all times.

He also enjoined them to keep safe; observe the social distancing policy of the government and sanitize their hands always.
