Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has cried out on social media, alleging that her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, ordered the arrest of her elder brother and sister amid their ongoing marital crisis.
In a series of emotional Instagram posts, the 24-year-old actress claimed her husband was using the police to intimidate her family and compel her to return to a rehabilitation centre over allegations of drug abuse.
“Someone please help me! I feel like I’m losing my mind,” Regina wrote. “My big brother and big sister have been arrested. My baby sister might be arrested soon as well until I return and, according to him, return to rehab.”
She continued, “You said I’m a drug addict. What other name can you call me? A prostitute? Must things go completely south if partners are no longer interested?”
Regina expressed deep frustration over the public fallout, saying she had tried to remain calm despite provocation.
“I’m really trying to be the bigger person by not saying or doing anything whereas I’m f**king young, petty, and immature! So I can act like a 24-year-old child and speak my pain! Leave my family alone, Ned!” she wrote.
The actress lamented that their once beautiful marriage was now collapsing in full public view.
“A big shame that the beautiful but short legacy we built is about to be ridiculed by the whole world,” she stated.
The development follows earlier reports of a physical altercation between Regina and Nwoko, which allegedly led her to file for divorce on grounds of domestic violence. The senator has, however, accused her of substance abuse — a claim she continues to deny.
As of now, the police and Senator Nwoko are yet to issue official statements regarding the alleged arrests.
