American rapper Famous Dex has been arrested on a domestic battery charge, according to official jail records.
The rapper was taken into custody on Sunday, August 23, and booked on the charge. Records indicate that he remained in a Las Vegas jail as of the time of publication.
The latest arrest adds to the rapper’s previous legal troubles. In 2021, Famous Dex faced multiple charges stemming from three separate incidents, including allegations of domestic violence and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Two of those cases involved his former girlfriends, while another followed a traffic stop during which police reportedly found a loaded firearm inside his vehicle.
Dex was sentenced to 364 days in jail in September 2021. Following his release, he entered rehabilitation as he worked to address his personal struggles and make changes in his life.
In 2023, the rapper revealed that he had been sober for 11 months. He also spoke about his plans to return to music, including a new instalment in his “Rich Forever” album series with Rich The Kid and Jay Critch.
Representatives for Famous Dex have reportedly been contacted for comment regarding the latest arrest, but no response had been received at the time of publication.
