Founder of Grace Dimension Ministry, Dr. Prophet Maseke Daniels, has visited the Angwan Jarawa–Farin Gada community in Jos following appeals from residents over the deplorable condition of the road linking the community.
Maseke said he was moved to visit the area after hearing several calls from residents during a radio programme with Bello Lukman on Rhythm FM.
Speaking during the visit, the cleric appealed to the Plateau State Government to urgently intervene and address the condition of the road.
“The road is actually very, very bad,” Maseke said, urging the government to “do something urgently.”
He commended the government for its efforts in the state while expressing hope that the concerns raised by residents would receive attention.
The community leader, Stephen Joseph Zaruma, said residents had repeatedly appealed to the government and had also staged a protest about two months ago over the condition of the road.
According to him, government officials had visited and measured the road several times, but no rehabilitation work had commenced.
“Our road is really, really not in a good shape,” Zaruma said, adding that residents were becoming frustrated over the continued delay.
He said some residents had threatened not to support future elections unless the road was fixed, stressing that the community welcomed every intervention aimed at resolving the problem.
Another resident and businessman also appealed to the government, saying residents had supported the administration during the election period but were still waiting for the road to be rehabilitated.
He expressed appreciation to Prophet Maseke for responding to the community’s concerns after hearing their appeals on radio.
The residents are now calling for urgent government intervention to rehabilitate the road, which they say has continued to affect movement and economic activities in the area.
