Prophet Isa El-Buba has issued a stern warning saying; “Enough is Enough!” and called for urgent steps to halt Plateau bloodshed before the people resort to self-help.
The Convener of the Initiative for a Better and Brighter Nigeria (IBBN) and General Overseer of El-buba Outreach Ministries International (EBOMI), Prophet (Dr.) Isa El-Buba, stated this at his residence on Thursday 28th December while addressing journalist on the horrifying Christmas Eve massacre that unfolded in Bokkos, Mangu, and Barkin-Ladi villages on the Plateau.
Expressing deep grief, Prophet El-Buba lamented waking up once again to the distressing news of mindless and gruesome massacres, accompanied by gory images of innocent Plateau citizens falling victim to organized invasions by Fulani militia terrorist elements.
In his commiseration with the affected families, Prophet El-Buba decried the seemingly unhindered and unabated attacks, emphasizing a disturbing regularity that raises suspicions of collusion enabling these killings. He questioned the government’s continued helplessness in the face of renewed and sustained onslaught on its citizens, urging a robust response to deter the attackers.
Prophet El-Buba issued a strong notice of dissatisfaction with the escalating violence, stating that if the government fails to protect its citizens, they will mobilize to defend themselves against these bloodshed and land-grabbing atrocities. He declared, “Enough is Enough!” and warned that the people cannot be perpetual casualties of government cluelessness.
He further highlighted policy recommendations, including the urgent need for constitutional alterations to enable state policing. Prophet El-Buba called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to interrupt his holiday and prioritize the security situation by swiftly sending a comprehensive bill for state policing to the National Assembly.
“I wish to call on the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, to halt his holidays and return to service security by among other things quickly sending a comprehensive bill for state policing to the National Assembly to forestall the audacious regular killing and maiming of poor struggling Nigerians in lots of virtually ungoverned Nigerian spaces with little or no security presence.” He said.
In conclusion, Prophet El-Buba commended eminent Nigerians and groups speaking out against the carnage. He urged unity and collective action against terrorism, while expressing support for the efforts of defense and security formations on the ground.
The prophet concluded with a plea for urgent intervention and a prayer for God to save Nigeria.
