President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made significant appointments, including the designation of a top prosecutor for the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Rotimi Oyedepo, and the appointment of six other officials, who are set to serve in key roles in the Federal Ministry of Justice, Abuja.
These individuals are assigned to work under the guidance of the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi.
The list of newly appointed officials includes:
- Kamarudeen Ogundele: Appointed as Special Assistant to the President on Communication and Publicity.
- Hussein Oloyede: Assigned as Special Assistant on Arbitration, Drafting, and Regulations.
- Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN): Named as Special Assistant on Financial Crimes and Public Prosecution Compliance.
- Monsurat Gafar: Takes on the role of Special Assistant on Coordination and Intergovernmental Agency Relations.
- Marcus-Obiene Fernández: Appointed as Special Assistant on Justice Sector Reforms And ICT/Digital and Innovative Technology.
- Ahmed Wada: Assumes the position of Special Assistant on Special Duties.
- Tolu Obamuroh: Appointed as Technical Adviser on Oil and Gas, Arbitration, and International Disputes.
According to Premium Times, the identity of the seventh appointee is being withheld, after stating that publicizing his name and the nature of his assignment might endanger him.
