A young man who bears a striking resemblance to street-pop singer Portable has taken to social media to cry out for help, claiming that the singer has threatened his life.
In a viral video, the lookalike pleaded for protection, alleging that Portable vowed to “deal with him” for performing his songs at shows and collecting money without permission.
“Please don’t kill me the way they killed Mohbad,” he said tearfully in the video.
The impersonator, who has been spotted at several events mimicking Portable’s signature hairstyle, dressing style, and stage mannerisms, reportedly performs the singer’s songs under his name — a move that appears to have angered the controversial artiste.
Portable, known for his fiery temper and outspoken nature, had earlier warned his lookalike to desist from using his identity for financial gain.
