Nigerian dancer and socialite, Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has been charged with attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration in the United Kingdom.
The charges were confirmed by the Snaresbrook Crown Court in London in a statement to Punch.
According to the court’s Admin Team Leader, James Baker, Poco Lee is scheduled to appear before the court on September 15, 2026, for plea and trial preparation.
In an official email to the publication, Baker stated that the defendant had been charged with attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
The court also confirmed that a reporting restriction has been placed on the case to protect the identity of the complainant, in accordance with relevant UK law.
“The defendant has been charged with: Attempted rape, 2x rape, 2x assault by penetration. There is a reporting restriction on the case provided. This order protects the anonymity of the complainant under section 1 of the Sexual Offences Amendment Act 1992,” Baker said.
Poco Lee is expected to return to Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15 for the next stage of the proceedings.
The charges are allegations, and Poco Lee is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty by a court of law.
