There was a huge development as The Performing Musicians and Employers Association of Nigeria PMAN Plateau State chapter came to a resolution for progress after several meetings with Stakeholders, the lingering crisis in the entertainment industry as witnessed in PMAN Plateau
chapter was resolved after series of meetings that culminated in signing
a PEACE MOU in a dinner at a Chinese Restaurant in Jos on Monday 18th August, 2016.
You will recall that the state chapter of PMAN has had its issues and leadership tussel ever since the emergence of caretaker committee chairman Wudel Goyoma the position that has been contested and rejected by long serving Plateau PMAN Governor, Sak Solo
Reports reaching us has it that both parties have finally reached an agreement to put all grudges behind and look at the bigger picture which is a unified body of PMAN on the plateau with new elected Executives. Both parties also agreed to recognize Sak Solo as the out-going PMAN Plateau Governor with Wudel Goyoma as caretaker committee chairman and both will come together to form an electoral Committee, which old members that registered with newly registered members all illegible to vote.
Elections have been projected for December 2016 in which the out going Governor pledged to give her blessings to who ever emerges as she would not be contesting the elections. The PMAN caretaker chairman, wudel Goyoma, also said it was a welcome development as his mandate was originally to ensure an election and he would not be contesting for the position either.
With the timely intervention of major stake holders sanity has finally been resolved in Plateau State.
At the meeting were excos of both parties as well as stake holders like Dr. Panam Percy Paul, Dorcas Bentu, Salis Abdusalam and Obed Akanya
