A Plateau youth group under the Plateau G17 Youth have taken it upon themselves to lead a procession for Ropvil Daciya executed by Boko Haram. Slated for Today Sunday 26th January, it will be a candle light procession starting form the car-park of the plateau state house of assembly to secretariat junction under the bridge and the dress code is black.
Boko Haram continued its onslaught against the Christian population
in Northeast Nigeria with its release of yet another execution video. In
the video, a child soldier for the terrorist group was seen wearing
a black headscarf as a mask, holding a pistol, and standing behind a
kneeling young man.

The young man was been identified as Ropvil Daciya
Dalep, a member of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN). He was
kidnapped on Jan. 9 on the Damaturu-Maiduguri Highway while returning to
school at Maiduguri University in Borno state.
The boy behind him said that this execution is a
retaliation for Christian atrocities against Muslims in Nigeria. He does
not define what these atrocities are though. “This is one of the
Christians from Plateau state,” the boy said in Hausa, the major
language in Northern Nigeria. “We want to tell all Christians that we
have not forgotten what you did to our parents and grandparents.
Christians all over the world must know that we will never forget their
atrocities against us, until we avenge the bloodshed visited on us.”
After saying this, the boy then shoots Ropvil multiple times in the
back of the head and back. Ropvil died almost immediately. There had
been ransom requests made for Ropvil and it is unclear when the
execution took place. It is believed however that this was done by the
ISIS- affiliated sect of Boko Haram known as Islamic State West Africa
Province(ISWAP).
