After a call for swift intervention on the killings and attacks in Pinau village, of Wase Local Government Council of Plateau State.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) ASP Ubah Ogaba, said in a statement released on Monday 13th of December, 2021 in Jos, that the incident occurred on Sunday evening.
He, however, clearly pointed out that security agencies were quickly mobilised to the scene and about eight(8) arrest was made and twelve (12) motorbikes recovered.
He said “Yesterday, at about 4:30p.m, we received a distress call that yet to be identified gunmen invaded Pinau Village in Wase Local Government Area, were Nine (9) persons were Unfortunately maimed and killed, while four persons sustained various degree of injuries”
“Upon receipt of the information, a combined team of Policemen, men of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) and other security agencies were mobilised and swiftly moved to the scene. Eight of which are suspects and were arrested and 12 motorcycles recovered from the scene,” he added.
