Plateau United Football Club, one of Nigeria’s prominent football teams, has welcomed the appointment of Mr. Habila Hosea Mutla as the Acting General Manager. The decision was approved by the Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, in an effort to strengthen the club’s management and elevate its standing in Nigerian football.
Mr. Mutla brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of football management to his new role. He previously served as the Assistant General Manager of Plateau United from 2004 to 2007. During his tenure, he was responsible for crucial tasks such as coach selection, organizing home matches, and player recruitment. With this appointment, Mr. Mutla is expected to consolidate the club’s management team and work towards positioning Plateau United at the pinnacle of Nigerian football.
In addition to the appointment of the General Manager, Governor Mutfwang has also approved the selection of Mr. Danjuma Akubaka Isandu as the Assistant General Manager of Plateau United Football Club. Mr. Isandu is a former Nigerian professional footballer, known for his versatility in playing as a striker, winger, and midfielder. He graduated with a degree in Political Science from the University of Abuja.
Mr. Isandu’s outstanding performance as part of the 1992 under-23 Flying Eagles team at the All African Games left an indelible mark in Nigerian football history. Throughout his career, he showcased remarkable dedication, commitment, and exceptional talent. He has played for several notable clubs including NASCO Jets, El-Kanemi Warriors FC of Borno State, Mighty Jets, JIB, BCC Lions, and Plateau United. Moreover, Mr. Isandu is also involved in politics and was a former aspirant for the Irigwe/Rukuba State Constituency in the 2022 PDP primaries.
Both Mr. Mutla and Mr. Isandu’s appointments are effective immediately. Their arrival is anticipated to bring fresh perspectives and contribute to the continued growth and success of Plateau United Football Club.
