Plateau Students Rally Support for Nanchang Timloh’s NANS Vice Presidency Bid

Comrade Nanchang Peter Timloh has garnered strong backing for his bid for the position of Vice President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), following a solidarity rally organized by the NANS Joint Campus Committee (JCC) Plateau State Axis in collaboration with Student Union Government (SUG) Presidents across polytechnics in the state.

The rally, held at the Plateau State Polytechnic, Jos Campus, drew a large turnout of students, including friends, course mates, campus leaders, and supporters, all of whom endorsed Timloh’s candidacy and expressed confidence in his leadership.

Timloh, an HND I student in the Department of Office Technology and Management at Plateau State Polytechnic, assured students of his commitment to advancing their welfare and protecting their rights if elected.

He pledged to prioritize student welfare, strengthen advocacy for improved learning conditions, and ensure that students in Plateau State and across Nigeria benefit from government policies and programs.

“If given the opportunity to serve as Vice President of NANS, I will remain committed to the struggles of Nigerian students, ensuring their rights are protected and their welfare is improved,” he said.

In separate remarks, Comrade Gyang Matthew Collins, Director of Campus Affairs and Mobilization for NANS JCC Plateau State Axis, and Comrade Benjamin Pam, SUG Secretary-General of the Federal College of Land Resources Technology, Kuru, jointly endorsed Timloh, describing him as a tested and trusted student leader.

They highlighted his track record of service, advocacy, and dedication to student struggles, noting that his leadership qualities make him well-suited for the national role.

According to the student leaders, Timloh has demonstrated proven leadership, strong grassroots connection, and a commitment to unity and inclusion across campuses.

They further emphasized his reputation as a fearless advocate for student rights, welfare, and campus security, adding that his emergence would strengthen the voice of Nigerian students at the national level.

The endorsers called on SUG Presidents, student stakeholders, and NANS delegates nationwide to support Timloh’s candidacy in the forthcoming election.

The rally concluded with chants of solidarity, as supporters reaffirmed their commitment to his campaign with the popular student movement slogan, “Aluta Continua, Victoria Ascerta!”
