Plateau state in top ten list in terms of turning out for continuous Voter Registration

Head of Drpartment  of Voter Education and Publicity, Osaritine Inahiarabo says that Plateau State has been identified as one of the top ten in terms of turn out for continuous Voter Registration.


He disclosed this on 103 politics, a KT 103.9 fm flagship program saying that the state has recorded massive registration in the first quarter with about 121,000 people.

Stressing the issue of multiple and underage registration, Imahiarabo says that INEC will carry out consolidation, a period where they will take out names of people with multiple and underage registration, saying that it is an offence against the electoral act.

He further stated that the display, claims and objectives is still ongoing, and the second quarter of continuous voter registration resumes on the 3rd of April, adding that about 25,000 PVCs have been unclaimed.
