The infuriated locals accuse Adanchi of abandoning them during a critical period marked by persistent killings of innocent citizens, which tragically continued after the Christmas Eve carnage that claimed over 160 lives.

The unrest commenced in the early hours of Friday, January 5th, at the Bokkos police station. The protesting women voiced their grievances, pointing to the alleged unjust detention of youths within the community following the recent discovery of a deceased individual in the vicinity.

The protesting women later proceeded to the residence of the District Head and after noticing his absence, flared up and proceeded to burn down the house with two vehicles also destroyed.

However security personnel quickly swung to calm the escalating tension within the community.

The simmering discontent underscores the community’s discontent with the handling of security matters and perceived negligence by local and federal authorities.
