Lead Counsel to General JT Useini, Edward PWAJOK (SAN) has told the
Governorship Elections Petitions Tribunal, sitting in Plateau State
that, they will calmly study the Tribunal judgement which affirmed the
declarations of Governorship Simon Bako Lalong as duly elected Goveenor
of the State during the 2019 general Elections, and advise their client
appropriately.
Edward Pwajok said this while commenting the Tribunal for the successful delivery of the judgement on the matter.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria, said, Thank God that there is another bus stop for this judgement.
He started by saying, ”As long as we are alive, we have hope”
He continued, “In the best interest of the Bar, even if we are not
satisfied, but we are happy. I am not saying this to reverse the
decisions of the Tribunal, judgement has already been passed.
But, it’s unfortunate that the supreme Court Judgement on validity
and qualifications of those witnesses to testify before the tribunal was
not brought to your notice”
“Me lords, the supreme court affirmed your earlier decision that
qualified the witnesses to testify before the Tribunal” He explained.
Useini maintained, “I am surprised listening to the tribunal
Judgement , relying on the appeal Court judgement to expung the
testimonies of those witnesses on its records and upheld the preliminary
objection of the respondents on that matter”
