The former Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos, has urged leaders and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State to embrace genuine reconciliation and unity as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.
Bagos made the call during the PDP Northern Zone caucus meeting where Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, was formally endorsed for a second term in office.
Speaking at the event, former Governor and founding father of the PDP in Plateau, Senator Jonah David Jang, expressed appreciation to the Northern Zone caucus for their confidence in Governor Mutfwang. He formally received the endorsement on behalf of the Governor, describing it as a bold step toward consolidating the strength of the PDP family in the state.
In his remarks, Hon. Bagos stressed that internal healing within the party was necessary for future success.
“Let us not be cosmetic with the truth. Instead, let us come together to correct the betrayals by some party members during the last congresses,” he said.
Bagos emphasized that only through reconciliation and unity could the PDP sustain good governance in Plateau and secure overwhelming victory in the next elections.
The endorsement of Governor Mutfwang by the Northern Zone caucus is seen as a significant boost for the PDP ahead of 2027, signaling renewed confidence in his leadership and administration.
