Governor, Simon Lalong of Plateau state , on Tuesday ordered the arrest
and questioning of all leaders of related communities over renewed herdsmen attacks in the
State.
Lalong at an emergency meeting with the community leaders ordered their
immediate detention over “complacency”at a stakeholders meeting today
Governor Simon Bako Lalong met with stakeholders over the killings in Bokkos. They include heads of security agencies, community leaders, local government chairmen, representatives of fulani community and traditional rulers.
Governor Lalong asked the commissioner of police to immediately invite and question the community leaders and Ardos so as to find the killers. He said” I will not take it again. Those killing are not spirits and are not above the Government. They must be produced”.
You will recall that early Monday morning were reports of attacks that led to the killings of several persons in a village in Plateau state,
A pregnant woman and 16 others were been confirmed to be among those
killed at the overnight attack on Ruboi community under Bokkos Local
Government Area
of Plateau State by persons suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.
