Wife of the Executive Chairman of Kanke Local Government Council, Kyennan Gotip has presented gifts items, and cash to the first babies of the year born in Amper Primary Health Care Clinic as part of her activities to celebrate the new year.
The First Lady also presented gifts items and cash to other nursing mothers in the Clinic who came for their routine immunization in the spirit of the yuletide.
On arrival at the Clinic, the First Lady and her entourage were received by the Chief Nursing Officer of the Clinic, Veronica James, and other members of staff of the Clinic.
The first baby was delivered to Mrs. Sarah John at around 3 am while the second baby was delivered to Fayitmwa Moses at 4:30 am.
Presenting the items and cash to the beneficiaries, the Wife of the Council Chairman, Kyennan Gotip congratulated the parents for the bundle of joy and urged them to train up the children in a godly way.
The First Lady described children as a special gift from God, hence the need for parents and guardians to take proper care of them by laying a healthy foundation for them through exclusive breastfeeding. She also charged them to ensure that they receive all the necessary immunization at the appropriate time.
The Council First Lady also extended her philanthropic gesture to a patient on admission at the Clinic Nde Ishaku Gofwen where a cash gift was presented to him.
Kyennan Gotip also appreciated the officials of the Health Centre for the good work being carried out and urged them to continue in that direction.
The wife of the Council Chairman also used the opportunity to canvas support for all the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the forthcoming general elections and appealed to all women in the Local Government Area to collect their Permanent Voters Card (PVCs), to enable them to exercise their right during the elections.
Also speaking, the Supervisory Councilor in charge of the Primary Health Care Department in Kanke Local Government Council Nendirmwa Jang, and APC women leader of the Local Government Cicelia Pali all appreciated the First Lady for the gesture and called on the people of the Local Government to continue to pray and support the Governor Lalong-led APC government in all facets of human endeavour.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Sarah John and Fayitmwa Moses could not hide their joy, appreciated the First Lady for the pleasant surprise describing her philanthropic gesture as the first of its kind as they did not expect that from her and assured her of their total support to the APC government.
Chief Nursing Officer of the Amper Primary Health Care Clinic, Veronica James thanked the First Lady for choosing her Clinic for the event by putting smiles on the faces of the nursing mothers in the area and called on the beneficiaries to continue to pray for the Local Government Chairman him to succeed in carrying out his assignments of good governance to his electorates.
Items presented by the First Lady include diapers, Vaseline, Sweaters, toothpaste, pampers, mosquito nets, Caps, Bathing soap, Detergent, wrappers, and cash gifts to the nursing mothers.
