Plateau State Deputy Governor and Chairman, Governing Board of the State Emergency Management Agency, Professor Sonni Tyoden have flagged off the distribution of relief materials to some Local Governments recently affected by crisis in the State.
The Deputy Governor who was accompanied by some top Government functionaries urged the chairmen of the benefiting Local Government Areas to ensure equitable distribution of the relief materials.
Professor Tyoden further noted that government will not tolerate instances where materials meant for victims of crisis or natural disasters are found in the marketplace.
He also commended donor organisations and the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs for providing the interventions which will in no small measure bring succour to victims of unfortunate occurrences in the State.
