Plateau: Gov, Lalong visits Gashish to Inspect Proposed Resettlement of IDPs (Photos)

Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong payed a visit to Gashish for an on-the- spot inspection of the proposed site for the new Police Mobile Force Squadron. This is part of efforts for the Resettlement of Internally Displaced persons to their Original abode.

 

Lalong said those who forcefully annexed homes and villages in areas around Gashish community of Barkin Ladi Local Government are living on borrowed time because of the comprehensive security strategy being implemented by government.

The Governor disclosed this while inspecting the site donated by Nigerian Electricity Supply Company for the new Mobile Police unit in Gashish district of the local Government.

Governor Lalong appreciated Nesco’s gesture and promised that government would immediately rehabilitate the facility to enable the mobile police unit to begin operating at optimal capacity within record time.

Lalong said government had released funds for secondary school students in the area who missed their school certificate examination because of the recent cases of violent attacks.

Besides the Nesco facility in the Kusa main office of the company, gashish community also donated 75 rooms for the Mobile Police unit.
