On Thursday 10th May 2018, The Who is Who Awards Nigeria group presented the Plateau State Governor, Rt Hon Simon Bako Lalong with a Special Recognition Award, confirming him as an Impact Maker for his tract records of achievement.
Who is Who Awards Nigeria led by Arc. Daniel Okpanachi paid Governor Simon Lalong a courtesy visit at the Governor’s lodge Abuja with presence of the Commissioner for Information, Yakubu Dati and Commissioner For Finance, Dr Mrs Regina Somelat.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Daniel Okpanachi gave a brief history on how ‘who is who awards’ was conceived. He said the group is determine to recognise and promote people who are exceptional in
their fields and endeavors and give them both national and international
publicity.
The Plateau state Governor, Simon Lalong appreciated the team for all their efforts as recognising impact makers would also help build the state.
The Governor went on to talk about the Agricultural achievements, lauding the Diversification policy of the federal
government and explained that with fertile soil and conducive weather of
the state, agricultural production was highly favoured. He said that with sustained peace
and current strategy by government is to develop the agricultural sector as the state in years to come, will not have to depend on federal
allocation.
Governor Lalong stated that the cooperation of the people has been key to maintaining peace, stressing that peace was key to the development of Agricultural
sector, the Governor said the current peace being enjoyed was a result
of collective effort and called for its sustenance.
