Plateau APC Suspends Eight Top Members Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Takbol Ward, Plateau State, has suspended eight senior members, including a Plateau State House of Assembly member, citing alleged anti-party activities during the recent local government elections.

The suspended members include:

– Hon. Nancwat Bendel Domfa, Member of the Plateau State House of Assembly
– Hon. Nanfa Napmwang, APC Takbol Ward Chairman
– Hon. Bala Setyep, APC Ward Secretary
– Hon. Nansoh Liman, Former Councilor, Takbol Ward
– Tanfa Lohkur, Deputy APC Federal Ward Chairman
– Hon. Nanmar Dongnap**, Former Supervisory Councilor
– Paul Tenshik, APC Ward Financial Secretary
– Nimcit Nankuk, APC Ward Ex-Officio 1

The announcement came after an October 25, 2024, meeting with ward executives and stakeholders, where concerns over the party’s performance and alleged internal opposition were discussed. According to the ward’s leadership, the suspension aligns with Article 21 of the APC constitution and will remain in effect pending a comprehensive investigation.

Takbol Ward executives have urged the suspended members to reflect on their actions and seek reconciliation with the party. The decision has been forwarded to the APC Langtang South Local Government Chairman for further review and possible ratification.
