The Exhibition of Local Products at Global Quality official opening ceremony for Made In Plateau took place on Tuesday 28th February at Crest Hotel Jos with the Governor, Rt. Hon. Barr Simon Lalong on hand to officially open the first of its kind exhibition in the state.
The occasion was well attended as it had the presence of the State Deputy Governor, Prof Sonni Tyoden, the chief of staff Government house, Members of state Executive, Top GIZ and EU Team led by GIZ Country Director, Dr Thomas Kisech, EU Head of Cooperation, Mr Kurt Cornelis, delighted exhibitors and the general public
In his speech, the Governor thanked GIZ and European Union for creating a platform to develop the Plateau state Industry and commerce, thereby encouraging local products as the government is also striving in its own path. He further applauded GIZ and other Foreign partners for their support and funding of various projects including peace and conflict resolution in the state.
The Governor took a complete tour at the stationed pavilions and further gave words of encouragement to various exhibitors. The Event was anchored by David King
