The coalition of Youth
Organizations within Plateau State staged a mass protest today Tuesday, 14th February by 8am. The Youths converged at the Jos Township Stadium and proceeded to the State House of Assembly to further stress the need for a better Nigeria and call on the Federal Government to come to the aid of the ordinary Nigerian Citizen.

 At the State House of Assembly the Protesting Youths were received by the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House receptively. The Leader of the Collective Youths Organizations, Amb Chris Iyama (Center For Youths Participation, Dialogue and Advocacy Africa – CYPA AFRICA), stated the plights of the youths as he mentioned lack of Jobs, poor funding of the educational sector, lack of basic health care facilities, the recent economical hardship experienced by all and the non-participation of youths in governance.

  The Speaker of the House Hon, Peter Azi, addressed the youths as he starting by thanking them for the peaceful and coordinated manner in which they protested. He further stated that all their plights was dully noted and was going to relate all that was said at the National Council of Speakers.
