
Some students of the Plateau State
Polytechnic at the Jos campus held a protest over the relief materials and monies alleged to have been
donated to the victims.
It was alleged that the CEO Kefiano Autos, UN Youth Ambassador
and other spirited individuals had donated some relief materials to
alleviate the sufferings of the female students after the recent fire incident at the female hostel. But it was reported that such materials and monies were
yet to be distributed to the students.
The students this morning barricaded the main entrance to the school premises, there by causing traffick for road users, with the students demanding the release of the relief materials
donated to their colleagues who suffered loses during an inferno at the
female hostel.
Security personnel were on hand to ensure the protest was not hijacked by mischief makers as the school management tried to call for calm.
