An
unfortunate incident occurred around thirty minutes past 4, yesterday
saturday 24th, and the eve of Eid- El- Fitr as people gathered to team
up with the fire service to put out the fire.
According
to reports from our sources, the tanker which was already loaded, was
about to undergo evacuation of fuel, when some maintenance mis hap
occured. Fortunately no lives were lost, but a few got injured.
Speaking
to an anonymous source, we gathered that on the arrival of the fire
service, not much could be done as most of the harm had already been
done. But in a prompt and professional attempt, the fire service team
were able to remove people out of the scene in other to reduce the
casualty rate.
The gas refill station is located along bauchi ring road before blue roof housing.
