The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has refuted claims made by controversial activist Verydarkman, alleging that the organization begged him to settle his defamation case with gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.
In a statement issued by PFN’s National Secretary, Bishop David Bakare, the organization accused Verydarkman of fabricating and spreading false information in its name, describing the act as misleading and damaging to public trust.
PFN’s National Secretary, Bishop David Bakare, issued a statement urging authorities to investigate the matter and take appropriate legal measures to curb the spread of misinformation.
Part of the statement read:
“Our attention has been drawn by the Concerned Christian Youth Forum to a fake press release allegedly issued by PFN concerning the Mercy Chinwo and VeryDarkMan matter. The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) hereby issues a formal disclaimer regarding this statement circulating on social media. It was not released by PFN and should be disregarded.”
The organization also advised its members and the general public to verify the credibility of news before sharing it, emphasizing that PFN takes no responsibility for the false statement.
As of the time of this report, VeryDarkMan, who is currently in China, has yet to respond to the allegations.
