Former presidential aide Bashir Ahmad has called for an investigation into, and possible arrest of, U.S. missionary Alex Barbir.
His call comes hours after Barbir shared a video criticizing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over fresh attacks in Plateau State.
More than 10 persons were reportedly killed when gunmen attacked Anguwan Rukuba community in Jos North on Sunday, March 29.
In the viral video, Barbir accused the President of failing to address insecurity and the killings of Christians in parts of the country.
Reacting, Ahmad alleged that the missionary had been moving around openly “spreading hate and attempting to incite violence against Nigerians of diverse backgrounds.”
He urged relevant authorities to take swift and lawful action to investigate and, where necessary, apprehend Barbir, stressing the need to ensure accountability and safeguard peace, unity, and public order.
