Controversial Anambra-based cleric Chukwuemeka Cyril Ohanaemere, popularly known as Prophet Odumeje, has sparked fresh debate after openly challenging fellow pastors to a public miracle contest.
Speaking during a service at his church, the outspoken preacher boldly declared himself “the greatest pastor in the world,” insisting that no other spiritual leader matches his spiritual abilities or supernatural strength.
Odumeje, widely known for his dramatic sermons and flamboyant delivery, claimed he possesses extraordinary powers—some of which he has “not yet deployed.”
Calling on any pastor who doubts his spiritual superiority, he invited them to a public “showdown” to prove their divine abilities.
“All the pastors in the world know that I am the greatest. Nobody reaches me,” he proclaimed.
“If you say I am not greater than you, come out for a challenge. Come out, let us do miracles. I have extra power for competition. I have extra power for ‘incase of incasity’.”
His comments have triggered widespread reactions across social media, with many users questioning both the intent and credibility of the proposed miracle duel. Others criticised the cleric for what they described as theatrics and self-promotion, while some of his supporters defended his confidence and unique style.
The challenge adds to Odumeje’s long-running reputation for controversial statements and unconventional ministerial expressions, which have often placed him at the centre of public debate.
