Nigerian singer Davido has backtracked on his earlier criticism of the Osun State Commissioner of Police following the violent political crisis that erupted in the state.
In a statement shared on his social media page on Monday night, Davido explained that his initial reaction was driven by anger over the bloodshed witnessed during the unrest, leading him to place blame on the police chief.
He said he has had a review of the whole incident and has seen that the Commissioner of Police and other security agents put in their best and deserve commendation. He mentioned that the sad incident was beyond the Commissioner of Police.
