One person has been confirmed dead while three others sustained injuries in a tricycle accident along Haske Road near the Lamingo Golf Club area of Jos, Plateau State.
The incident occurred on Monday evening when two commercial tricycles, popularly known as Keke Napep, collided.
According to eyewitnesses, the crash happened when one of the tricycle operators attempted to avoid a pothole, lost control, and rammed into an oncoming tricycle.
An eyewitness, Mr. Joseph Haruna, said the impact of the collision was severe, leading to the death of one passenger at the scene, while three others sustained varying degrees of injuries.

The injured victims were rescued by sympathisers and emergency responders and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Another witness, who spoke on condition of anonymity, described the accident as tragic and blamed the poor condition of the road for frequent crashes in the area.
He called on relevant authorities to urgently repair potholes along the route to prevent further loss of lives, noting that the road has become increasingly dangerous for motorists and tricycle operators.
The accident caused temporary traffic congestion as residents and commuters gathered at the scene.
As of the time of filing this report, relevant traffic and emergency management agencies had yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
