Senator Iyiola Omisore, the National Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has broken his silence regarding his departure from the ongoing emergency meeting of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) following the resignation of National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu.

Recall that Omisore was reportedly shut out of the ongoing emergency NWC meeting at the party’s National Secretariat, popularly known as Buhari House in Abuja.

The party’s scribe had arrived at the secretariat around 11:20 am to join other NWC members in the meeting but was allegedly denied entry.

This comes after the Deputy National Chairman (North), Senator Abubakar Kyari, took over the meeting following the resignation of the party’s National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.

Speaking with reporters, Omisore said he left the secretariat as soon as he came in when he met the absence of the party’s national chairman at the meeting.

The APC chieftain said he was going to meet Adamu at his residence, adding that he did not know why the former Nasarawa governor was not at the secretariat.
