NUMBER 2. OSAMA AKPUNONU PCFR:

The comedian came into Jos 2000 and can proudly say If you can make
it here, you can make it anywhere because Jos is the New York of
Nigeria. He has refused to leave Jos despite the turmoil because he sees
a healthier future for comedy in Jos.

He believes that everyone’s got a talent and should be respected no
matter how little their skill is because even animals have talents, it’s
just that they do it the animal way..He moves around with the slogan of ‪#‎Josambassador‬ Despite being in Jos he has become one of the house hold names in stand up comedy in Nigeria.

He didn’t fail to state that the people living in fear in this town
are the same people who spread rumors about extreme terrorism in Jos. Joblessness and lack of orientation of the youths
is what is making our society decay.

Osama despite traveling far and wide does not forget to use Jos as a reference point for his jokes, what better way to identify with the place that has nurtured him into one of the down to earth and most “original content comedian” an attribute that stands him tall among others.

One of the anchors of the radio program KNOW WETIN DEY on Rhythm FM
Jos, he created the title with the intention of using comedy as a
cure-all for societal and national fester like relationship ills,
government dereliction of duty, family, health, finance and societal
stability.

Osama also brings Jos together for the biggest comedy show on the plateau Rhythm of Laughter which imports great comedy and musical acts making waves in Nigeria, he plans to drop episode 5 of the show bringing Basket Mouth and other great acts in January 2016.

Marriage for him may just linger a bit as he unfortunately lost his fiancee to the cold hands of death in july 2015.

He is down to earth, works heard to always deliver the best and has respect for his fans “Respect your fans because they are the ladder you’ll need to climb up. My fans are my priority”.
