The Bauchi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has laid to rest two of its officers who were killed in an ambush by gunmen at Sinoma BUA Cement Company, Okpella, Edo State.
The fallen personnel, Assistant Superintendent Corps II (ASCII) Abdullahi Adamu and ASCII Abdulkadir M. Gololo, lost their lives while on national assignment on September 5, 2025.
A solemn parade was held on September 8 at the command headquarters in their honor, with officers, management staff, and heads of units present to pay their final respects. The ceremony featured a special prayer session led by the State Commandant, CC Oloyede Nelson Oyerinde, who prayed for the repose of their souls and for strength for their families to bear the loss.
A 21-gun salute was performed at the command premises before the officers were interred according to Islamic rites.
Describing the deaths as “unfortunate,” Commandant Oyerinde prayed that Almighty God grant the deceased eternal rest in Jannatul Firdausi and comfort their families, the Bauchi Command, and the entire NSCDC.
