
Lalong boys Plateau United moved three points clear at the top of the Nigeria
Professional Football League(NPFL) following a 1-0 home win against MFM
FC at the New Jos Stadium on Saturday.
Tosin Omoyele scored the winning goal in the first minute, stabbing
the ball home following a throw-in by former U-23 Eagles defender
Chizoba Amaefule.
It was Omoyele’s first goal for the champions following his switch
from Bet9ja Nigeria National League outfit Osun United in the off
season.
Kennedy Boboye’s champions side have now recorded four wins from five games this season and have conceded only once.
Second-placed Akwa United who host bottom-placed Kwara United at the
Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on Sunday will topple the Jos side if they
can record a 3-0 win against the Harmony Warriors.
More games will be played in the NPFL on Sunday.
