Benson Okonkwo is one of Nollywoods most celebrated actor, model and a
television personality. He is popularly known for starring in romantic
movies alongside with several Nollywood celebrities.
During an interview with WHOISWHO Media in Anambra for the wedding of Ace publisher, Alex Nwankwo where the copy of the Attention Magazine was unveiled, Benson Okwonkwo, said he was born and bred in Enugu State in the South eastern part of Nigeria and said he has modeled for Nestle, Gold Circle Condom, Zain and many others. Okonkwo has won the award for Sexiest Man at the City People
Entertainment Awards with over 40 other awards in his carer thus far.
Benson Okonkwo said he joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) in 2008
and has starred in over 50 movies which include No Man’s Land, Rain
Drop, etc. Apart from acting Benson Okonkwo is also a model. He first
started his career as a model before delving into Nollywood in 2008. Attributing his acting carer to his mom who gave him the desired encouragement as he started acting at a very tender age in his local church
in Enugu, where he played the role of Jesus Christ during Station of the
Cross held by Catholic Churches all over the world.
Benson knows how to interpret his roles very well and can fit in any
character given to him by movie directors and producers in Nigeria. He is very handsome, gifted, skillful, creative and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles as he is working at producing his own movies.
