The Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB) Plateau State Chapter has marked a historic milestone, demonstrating visionary leadership and transformative initiatives that have set a benchmark for professional chapters nationwide.
Two years after promising bold reforms at his inauguration, Chairman Bldr Adedeji Adeleye Paul, FNIOB, delivered on all fronts during the 9th Builders’ Conference and Annual General Meeting (Tincity 2025), held at Villa Grande Hotel, Jos. The event was more than a conference—it showcased legacy, innovation, and a new era for the built environment profession in Northern Nigeria.
Among the chapter’s landmark achievements was the launch of its first-ever official website, www.niboplateau.org.ng, a digital platform designed to streamline membership registration, provide real-time professional updates, and increase global visibility. Speaking at the unveiling, Adeleye said, “This is more than a website. It’s the realization of a dream to modernize NIOB Plateau and connect our members to the future.”
In addition, the chapter released the first printed edition of its official by-laws, reinforcing transparent governance and institutional integrity. In a rare move for professional bodies, the chapter also conducted a ground-breaking ceremony for its first state secretariat, signaling a lasting legacy and physical testament to its vision.

The achievements drew commendations at the national level. Bldr Kolade Daniel Abimbola, FNIOB, President of NIOB, praised the Plateau Chapter for raising the bar in professional excellence, describing Adeleye’s leadership as “transformative, innovative, and inspiring.”
The event also featured technical sessions, panel discussions, and award presentations, highlighting new tools and initiatives designed to empower members and strengthen the construction and built environment sector in the region.
Chairman Adeleye expressed gratitude to members and stakeholders, emphasizing that the progress made in the past two years is just the beginning. “Leadership ends, but legacy doesn’t. Our focus remains on creating opportunities, structures, and a voice for every builder in Plateau State,” he said.
With digital modernization, institutional reforms, and infrastructural breakthroughs, the NIOB Plateau State Chapter has positioned itself as a model of excellence and innovation, inspiring chapters across the nation.
