Regina Daniels’ Public Appearance With ‘Boyfriend’ Triggered Ann’s Arrest – Tunde Ednut Claims
Nigerian billionaire businessman and lawmaker, Senator Ned Nwoko, has reportedly ordered the arrest of Ann, the best friend of his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, over allegations of theft and conspiracy.
Ann was arrested on Monday in Lagos State by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force from the Ajah Division. The arrest was said to have been carried out following a court order obtained by the senator.
Confirming the development, Regina Daniels’ elder brother, Sammy, shared a video of the arrest on Instagram, alleging that the police arrived with documents accusing Ann of conspiracy, assault and theft.
However, Sammy denied the allegations, insisting that Ann had never been to Senator Nwoko’s residence. He questioned the basis of the arrest and criticised the Nigerian justice system, describing the situation as a miscarriage of justice.
“There was no time Ann was ever at Ned’s house. So how is there a court order to detain her for conspiracy and theft? Nigeria has failed us,” he wrote.
The arrest comes amid an ongoing public rift between Regina Daniels and her husband. Reports indicate that the actress had previously accused the senator of abuse and domestic violence, after which several of her relatives and associates allegedly began facing arrests and police invitations.
Reacting to the latest development, celebrity social media influencer Tunde Ednut claimed that Ann’s arrest was triggered by Regina Daniels’ recent public appearance abroad with an alleged new boyfriend.
In an Instagram post on Monday evening, Ednut appealed to Senator Nwoko to allow the actress and her family move on with their lives, urging him to stop what he described as repeated arrests of her relatives.
While acknowledging the senator’s influence, Ednut wrote that it was time for him to focus on his legislative responsibilities and let go of the ongoing personal dispute.
The senator has yet to publicly respond to the allegations surrounding Ann’s arrest as of the time of filing this report.
